Curriculum I · Intercultural
Direct, indirect, expressive, restrained — notice the style in the room.
35–45 minutes · 4 lessons · Voluntary learning

How someone disagrees is not how evolved they are.
A delay, a family meeting, a packet fight.
Harassment is not a style. Use the door.
Name the style in the room. Do not name a villain.
Bring one live work object into the application workspace. Name who it was built for, who may carry the burden, and one change or formal escalation.
People disagree in different styles. Direct, indirect, emotionally expressive, restrained. That is not a test. This course is a DHS desk: a delay, a packet, a family meeting. Notice the style in the room without ranking who understands the work, and do not run an inventory on your colleagues. Voluntary. This course does not assign a score.
Direct is not honest. Indirect is not evasive.
Use this aid while applying Intercultural Conflict Styles at a DHS Desk to a live DHS work object.
Bring one live work object into the application workspace. Name who it was built for, who may carry the burden, and one change or formal escalation.
Participation and course completion in this program do not count toward DHS-required training credits unless management, a director, or DHS leadership expressly approves an exception.
